The Real Jurassic Park (July/August 09)
"The real Jurassic Park”
The school was two days practical work on the Jurassic period of time, students learnt about fossils, how they form, where they form, what makes there preservation successful, how palaeontologists use this data. They also learnt what the Yorkshire region was like in the Jurassic era, what giant Dinosaurs and Reptiles walked the Yorkshire and swam in the seas.
On the final day students attended a field trip to Saltwick bay discovering their very our very own fossils and visiting the local museum at Whitby with some of the finest fossil finds in the region.
