Recordable Speech Boards
The CLC has a number of items from the TTS TalkTime range. These cards have a wipe clean surface and contain a voice recording chip - simply record and play for up to 10 seconds.
As well as the speech bubbles pictured, we have cards from 75mmx75mm to A3 sizes. These are available as a 'mixed bag' of sizes so that schools can decide which ones are most suitable for their needs.

Flashmasters
Flashmasters provide a fun way of engaging pupils in improving their mental maths.
There are 9 Levels for each of the 4 rules of number and the pupils can set their own time limits to provide the answer to questions, or can set a time to see how many they can answer in a given time span.
The Flashmaster keeps a record of the last 15 tests taken, so the pupils can ‘beat their best score’ without having to compete against others.

Flashmasters come in boxes of 24 and are loaned out in whole boxes only. As they have been so well received by schools and many have requested to extend the loan, this year we are adopting a different approach for these items. The CLC is willing to meet 50% of the cost of the Flashmasters for a 3 year loan. At the end of the loan period, the CLC will write the Flasmasters off the asset register as a depreciated asset and they will remain with the school. The bulk purchase price of the flashmasters is £30, so a box of 24 would cost the school £360 for the loan period.
Schools who already have Flashmasters on loan, due back July 2010, can also opt to keep their loan stock on the same basis.

A3 Talking Photo Album

Storyphones
StoryPhones is a complete digital audio system using MP3 technology. It is designed by an Early Years teacher for young children to help them develop their language, communication, listening and literacy skills.
These skills are the foundations of learning and it is essential that they are acquired by children in the early stages of their education. StoryPhones ensure that ICT is used throughout the school or nursery environment and is embedded across the curriculum.
The StoryPhones Headsets do not need to be connected to a computer or any other equipment while in use, and children are free to sit wherever they wish to listen. This overcomes one of the major limitations of existing audio systems which tie the listener to a CD or tape player in a particular location.
