Overview
Overview of our courses aimed at school pupils.
At the Centres we teach a wide variety courses for key stages 1, 2 and 4.
At Key stage 1 and 2 we offer:
- Year 3 ICT,
- Year 4 Modern Foreign Languages,
- Year 4 Science,
- Year 5 ICT,
- Year 6 Design and Technology,
- Year 6 ICT,
- Year 6 Science.
These courses are designed and delivered according to the DfEE Schemes of work for each unit. Children in most cases are taught by the centre staff, using the latest software and hardware.
At Key Stage 4 we concentrate on 14-19 Lines of Learning, and Key stage 4 intervention. Current courses we run are:
- NCFE Animation,
- Interactive Digital Media,
- OCR Nationals ICT,
- ICT Diploma,
- ECDL,
- BTEC Media
and other Digital Media courses.
All of the courses are taught at the centre, and schools generally arrange their own transport. However, we do provide free refreshments for Primary courses, and can arrange catering for secondary courses at a reasonable cost.
