ECDL is designed specifically for those who wish to gain a benchmark qualification in computing to enable them to develop their IT skills and enhance their career prospects.
ECDL is designed specifically for those who wish to gain a benchmark qualification in computing to enable them to develop their IT skills and enhance their career prospects. The European Computer Driving Licence is the global standard entry level certificate for computer literacy.
As from September 2009 we will be running ECDL using Microsoft Office 2007 and all future candidates will be following version 5 syllabus. ECDL is split into two levels,
ECDL Essential Level 1 - the qualification comprises of three units:
Security for IT Users (Module 1)
IT User Fundamentals (Module 2)
Using Email and the Internet (Module 7)
ECDL Extra Level 2 - the qualification comprises of four units:
Word Processing (Module 3)
Spreadsheets (Module 4)
Presentation Software (Module 6)
Improving Productivity using IT
On completion of Level 1 and Level 2 you will automatically receive an ECDL Certificate
